I have to admit that I very rarely submit my work to art galleries. Ok, let’s be honest: it was my very first time. But something in the title of this exhibition at Photo Place Gallery was screaming my name: “Finding Joy”, how could I possibly resist?
So I submitted a few images and quickly forgot about it. Until I opened my inbox and discovered this fabulous email informing me that 2 images of mine were selected for the exhibition, and that one of them won the Juror’s Award! I was speechless!
The exhibition starts on October 1st and even though the current travel ban will not allow me to travel to the US to be there in person, I feel incredibly happy to know that my work will be featured among so many talented artists.

Je dois avouer que je soumets rarement mes images à des galeries d’art. Pour être vraiment honnête, c’était même la toute première fois. Mais il y avait quelque chose dans le titre de cette exposition de Photo Place Gallery qui semblait fait pour moi : “Finding Joy”, comment aurais-je pu résister ?
J’ai donc envoyé quelques images avant d’oublier complètement que je l’avais fait… Jusqu’à recevoir cet incroyable e-mail m’annonçant que non seulement 2 de mes images avaient été sélectionnées pour l’expo, mais qu’en plus l’une d’elle avait gagné le Juror’s Award (Prix du Jury) ! Quelle incroyable surprise !
L’exposition commence le 1er octobre et même si l’actuelle interdiction de voyage m’empêche d’aller aux Etats-Unis pour voir ça en personne, je suis très touchée de savoir que mes images seront exposées au milieu de tant d’autres artistes talentueux.
