As a baby photographer and a mother of three, I know one or two things about babies. After years of experience, and after having met hundreds of brand new parents who trusted me to photograph their infant, I can tell you one thing: babies can drive their parents insane. Don't get me wrong, I absolutely LOVE babies and could photograph them all day long. However, when you are a new mother or father learning to know this sweet bundle of joy, your baby is often a big question mark. Why, oh why is he crying again? Am I doing the right thing? Am I being a good parent?
In a world filled with classes, workshops and other tutorials about just anything, nobody is ever teaching you this crazy parenting job. You are supposed to figure it out on your own. This blank space is going to be filled by a brand new book: The Baby Detective, by Sarah Norris. Sarah is one of the UK’s most accomplished maternity nurses and has taken care of hundreds of babies. Her goal through this book is to empower her readers to solve their own baby care concerns, giving them the tools to face parenting challenges using their own intuition.
I'm really proud to be the author of the photograph featured on the front cover of the book! You might recognize the adorable Marianne who was already on the cover of the French Official Baby Names Guide (Officiel des Prénoms) this year! She is already an accomplished Cover Girl!
Congrats Sarah for this incredibly useful work, I have no doubt that this book is going to be a huge success!
